Fees, Funding & All Inclusive Service Policy
Upon registration you will be sent a letter of confirmation along with our welcome pack, which is filled with our school's policies and procedures and other information you may find helpful in settling in your child at Blue Planet.
On the last day of term you will be invoiced for the following term's fees. Termly fees are subject to change according to the yearly calendar layout; i.e. some terms may be shorter than others, so charges will be made accordingly.
Funding
TERRIFIC TWO’S, 9 MONTHS TO FOUR YEAR OLD FUNDING FOR WORKING PARENTS, UNIVERSAL THREE and FOUR YEAR OLD FUNDING –
The funding is offered the Term AFTER your child turns FROM 9 MONTHS TO TWO for Terrific Twos (15 HOURS) and working parents (UP TO 30 HOURS) (dependent on circumstances) and Funding is offered to all three and four year olds. The Government is providing funding for all 3 and 4 years olds which aims to give them free nursery sessions. However, in reality the funding does not cover the actual costs of running a pre-school hence why we have an All Inclusive Package.
A separate funding letter will be sent out to parents explaining the funding and the costings of our All Inclusive package.
At Blue Planet we pride ourselves in the quality of our staff and our staffing ratio levels are higher than the national average. Any compromising on staffing levels will affect the safety of the children and lower our standards. We also believe in providing the children with quality resources to enhance their learning and giving them access to small group teaching and extra-curricular activities.
The All Inclusive service includes Nutritious snacks provided by ourselves, a Learning Paper Journal, which includes the reproducing of photographs, this Learning Journal is yours to keep once your child leaves. Extra-curricular activities offered by the pre-school which include French Lessons, Yoga, Dance, Animal experiences, Christmas party, Summer party and Children’s Summer outing. THIS LIST IS NOT EXHAUSTIVE. The Pre-school would be unsustainable and would have to close if the All inclusive fees are not met. Thank you for your kind considerations.
Parents are also required to sign a form confirming that their child is not receiving funding at another setting. If their child is attending another setting as well as ours, sessions will have to be confirmed at each setting so that there is not an overlap of funded places for your child.
Parents are required to sign a contract with the pre-school before their child is in receipt of the Nursery Education Funding.

All-Inclusive Service Policy
At Blue Planet Montessori Nursery, we provide an all-inclusive childcare service that ensures all children’s daily care needs are fully met while they are in our setting. This service is included in the session cost and removes the need for parents to supply consumables and additional fees for outside extra-curricular educational lessons and special events, ensuring that every child has access to high-quality provisions throughout the day.
PARENTS ARE TO PROVIDE THE CHILDREN’S PACKED LUNCH FOLLOWING OUR STRICT HEALTHY EATING AND ALLERGEN POLICY
This all-inclusive service applies to both funded and unfunded sessions. For families using government-funded hours, this service is charged separately as government funding does not cover consumables. Parents may either pay for the all-inclusive package or opt out and provide all required items themselves.
Inclusive Package
The inclusive package per day includes:
- Morning snacks £2.50
- Afternoon snack £2.50
- All consumables £1.80
- EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES £4.38
This includes yoga sessions, Dance classes, Chickenshed visits, animal experiences, French lessons and school trips, Christmas parties, Easter egg hunts, end of term parties.
THESE FEES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND EXCLUDES ANY BANK HOLIDAYS.
Fees must be paid for any absences due to illness or family holidays. If you wish to remove your child from the pre-school before the end of the term in order to go on holiday, the fees must be paid up to the end of the term as the place cannot be offered to another child.
Payments are due termly in advance, if this presents difficulty, then it is acceptable for fees to be paid monthly.
