Staff

Blue Planet Montessori Nursery School employ five full-time Nursery Practitioners who are all fully qualified and continual update their knowledge through regular training programmes including Child Protection, First Aid and Food hygiene. All staff hold either an NVQ level 3 qualification, Montessori International diploma, or degree in Early Childhood Education with Early Years Professional Status. All staff are CRB checked.

Blue Planet prides itself on having a family friendly atmosphere with Nursery Practitioners committed to ensuring each child's needs and interests are met and parents feel truly welcomed as partners in their child's care and education.


Principal - Diane Stocking

Diane established Blue Planet in 1998 having previously worked as a Special Needs Developer. Both her children attended a Montessori setting and Diane was so impressed with how it laid the foundations for them to love learning and encouraged them to become independent learners. Diane changed her career as her interest in the Montessori Method developed. Her qualifications include: BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Diploma in Early Years Education and Early Years Professional Status.


Nursery Practitioner / deputising role - Barbara Gorzynski

Barbara holds a degree in Child Welfare and has worked for the Nursery for over 12 years. Barbara has been introducing tiger teams into the Nursery curriculum.


SENCO / Nursery Practitioner / deputising role - Linda Ranauro

Linda has worked in Early years education for over 25 years, she has a great deal of knowledge with expertise in social communication, speech and language and physical development. She has an NVQ L3 in Special Education Needs and coordinates and advises on services for children with SEND within the Nursery.


Nursery Practitioner / deputising role - Marina Anastasiou

Marina has worked for Blue Planet for over 10 years and has a particular interest in sign language.


Nursery Practitioner - Brooke Lawrence

Brooke holds a TQUK Level 3 Diploma for the Children's Workforce (Early Years Educator) Brooke also has a degree in Music and is able to bring and play live music to the children, enhancing our music lessons in the classroom. Brooke has worked at the Nursery for over two years.
